Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Bradley County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When a visitor sends an email, we retain the message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems automatically receive certain technical details when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- The referring website, when one is available
- Browser name and version
- The device's assigned IP address
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure how visitors move through the site, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine that usage information into traffic reports. A browser can reject cookies through its settings, although disabling them may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Finding and resolving performance or technical faults
- Directing a submitted search to the appropriate partner
- Operating the site and improving load speed
- Measuring which material visitors use most
- Presenting advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Bradley County Criminal History does not build, keep, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Bradley County sheriff and criminal courts, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation repository, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a criminal file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A query submitted there is governed by that company's privacy policy rather than this policy. The provider, not us, sets its retention and disclosure rules. Review those terms before entering a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Bradley County offices, Tennessee agencies, court systems, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination's privacy terms control the visit. Review them before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use activity across websites to select ads. That tracking occurs through the provider's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Analytics providers that measure site traffic and function
- Advertising networks that place material on site pages
- Search providers that process a visitor's submitted query
- Government or law enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information we collect. No internet-connected service can guarantee perfect security, however, and we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such data, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide additional rights. Tennessee's public-records framework is the Tennessee Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 10-7-501 through 10-7-516. Sections 10-7-503 and 10-7-504 address access to government records and protected exceptions; the Tennessee Attorney General's open-government resources offer an official state reference. Those laws do not turn this private site into a government records custodian. Subject to the law that applies, a visitor may:
- Object to certain forms of data processing
- Request deletion of personal data
- Ask to review information held about the visitor
- Seek correction of inaccurate information
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A new version will appear here with an updated effective date when our practices change.
